Taraji P. Henson and Tom Hanks snubbed for Academy Award Nominations

Once again the metal midgets at the Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences have come up with a batch of nonsensical nominations for the Oscars.
Back in the day when a film was nominated for Best Picture, it followed that the actors, director and producer were also nominated for an Academy Award.

So it makes absolutely no sense that Taraji P. Henson was not nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress when Hidden Figures got a nomination for Best Picture.  I thought her performance was terrific and very deserving of being nominated.

Fences was also nominated for Best Picture.  But, the wizards of smart at the Academy didn't feel Denzel Washington was worthy of a Best Director nomination.  How does that make sense?  If a film is noteworthy for the Best category how could it’s director not be considered for a Oscar?  it's ridiculous!

Sully was totally dissed by the Academy and Tom Hanks and Clint Eastwood were left out In the cold.  This was a very bad job by MPAS and they should have their heads examined.
