Something big may be jumping off: Entire Senate being called to White House on North Korea

I see conflicting information in this report.
The Fox video news starts out by saying the president has extended an invitation to all hundred senators for a briefing at the White House on North Korea.  Later in the report Sean Spicer says the meeting is being convened by the senate majority leader and The White House is just a meeting place.  This meeting could have been had in secret without informing the media.  This tells me they want North Korea to know about the unusual gathering.  Something big may be around the corner if North Korea continues on their erratic behavior
Fox News reports the entire U.S. Senate has been invited to the White House for a briefing Wednesday on the North Korea situation, amid escalating tensions over the country’s missile tests and bellicose rhetoric.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer confirmed the upcoming briefing, for all 100 senators, on Monday.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats plan to provide the update to lawmakers.

It is rare for the entire Senate to be invited to such a briefing.

  1. Agree. With trump previously stating "I'm not going to tell you [our military strategy]" this has to have a purpose.

    1. It's definitely significant and may mean the US is getting ready to strike first.
