VP Mike Pence calls North Korea missile test a ‘provocation’

This is stick diplomacy giving North Korea every opportunity to back up before it makes a very painful mistake.
NY Post reports Vice President Mike Pence called the North Korea’s latest missile test a “provocation” and pledged the Trump Administration’s commitment to freedom prevailing in the region “has never been stronger.”

North Korea launched a failed missile test this weekend just as Pence was flying to South Korea. The test was to be a show of force a day after North Korea displayed its new armaments in a huge military parade, but the missile exploded shortly after its launch.

Pence addressed the launch in an Easter dinner speech in South Korea and said it underscores the importance of the alliance between the US and South Korea.

“This morning’s provocation from the north is just the latest reminder of the risks each one of you face each and every day in the defense of the freedom of the people of South Korea and the defense of America in this part of the world,” Pence said of the military.
