Baseball World Rocked: Mets suspend Matt Harvey THREE DAYS NO PAY for undisclosed violation of team rules, yanked from today's start

It's so hard to root for Matt Harvey because he's been a pain in the ass in one way or another since coming to the Mets.  He has a world of talent, but a bubble gum brain with a prima donna attitude to boot.

ESPN reports the New York Mets have suspended right-hander Matt Harvey three days without pay for a violation of team rules.

Mets general manager Sandy Alderson would not disclose Harvey's infraction, but Fox Sports reported Sunday that the pitcher was suspended for not showing up to the ballpark on Saturday. A source close to Harvey told Fox that Harvey had a migraine, but there were possible communication issues with the team.

The New York Daily News reported that the ban stems from a compilation issues dating back to last season.

The suspension does not have anything to do with another recent Mets controversy. A photo posted by the team on social media Saturday unwittingly showed a sex toy in a player's locker, but an MLB source told ESPN's Jerry Crasnick on Sunday that the discipline on Harvey is not related to that.

Alderson only said that Harvey was sent home and that his suspension started Saturday. Left-hander Adam Wilk was called up from Triple-A to replace Harvey as the Mets' starter Sunday against the Marlins.
