TWELVE inmates including attempted murderers escape from Alabama jail as furious local residents vow to 'shoot on sight'

What the Hell!  Twelve inmates?
Daily Mail reports a massive manhunt is underway after 12 inmates broke free from an Alabama prison on Sunday night.

The inmates escaped from Walker County Jail in Jasper at about 6.30pm.

Ten of the prisoners have been recaptured but the other two are still on the run, prompting the police department to warn residents to stay indoors and turn on their lights.

Two of those who escaped were serving jail sentences for attempted murder.
