Report: Mets won't make managerial change during road trip

I said on Facebook prior to the Mets Saturday game that if the Mets don't win the next two games against the Marlins, the Mets should fire manager Mickey Callaway.
Well, they're halfway there because they lost today 2-0.  Now, comes this leak to the press that the Mets aren't making a managerial change during the road trip.  The road trip ends tomorrow.  So what's the purpose of this leak?  It's bad form.  It makes a bad situation worse and a well-run organization shouldn't operate this way.  I suspect Mets COO Jeff Wilpon is the source for this story.  It's such a Wilpon thing to do.

The Score reports New York Mets manager MickeyCallaway won't be fired on Saturday or Sunday as the team isn't prepared to make a change during its road trip, a source told Matt Ehalt of Yahoo Sports.

The struggling Mets - losers of four straight - return home Monday to face the Washington Nationals.

Callaway doesn't appear to be worried about his job, even as his team struggles to meet expectations and now faces a potential sweep by the league-worst Miami Marlins after an ugly one-hit performance in Saturday's loss.
