Well, they're halfway there because they lost today 2-0. Now, comes this leak to the press that the Mets aren't making a managerial change during the road trip. The road trip ends tomorrow. So what's the purpose of this leak? It's bad form. It makes a bad situation worse and a well-run organization shouldn't operate this way. I suspect Mets COO Jeff Wilpon is the source for this story. It's such a Wilpon thing to do.

The Score reports New York Mets manager MickeyCallaway won't be fired on Saturday or Sunday as the team isn't prepared to make a change during its road trip, a source told Matt Ehalt of Yahoo Sports.The struggling Mets - losers of four straight - return home Monday to face the Washington Nationals.
Callaway doesn't appear to be worried about his job, even as his team struggles to meet expectations and now faces a potential sweep by the league-worst Miami Marlins after an ugly one-hit performance in Saturday's loss.
