Defending JK against Corrupt Media: John Kelly- Any channel of communication with a country like Russia a ‘good thing’

The media went crazy with baseless stories about Jared Kushner to divert attention away from President Trump's very successful foreign trip.
Establishing any channel of communications with the Russians is not a crime and it never was.  Kushner was totally within his capacity as advisor to the president to do such a thing, if it ever happened at all.  The press is just trying to smear him to get at Trump and bring his presidency down.

The Hill reports Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly on Sunday said he doesn't think the reports that White House senior adviser Jared Kushner sought to establish a backchannel line of communication between the Trump transition team and Moscow are a cause for concern.

"I don't know if its true or not. I know it's being reported in the press," he said on "Fox News Sunday."

"I would just tell you that I think any channel of communication, back or otherwise, with a country like Russia is a good thing."

Kelly said he favors multiple ways of communicating with any country.

  1. how to catch leakers...
1)come up with a too good to check tidbit that has a kernel of truth
    2) tell that tidbit to one and only one suspect
    3) see if that tidbit becomes public knowledge

if one staffer was told that JK had a meeting with the Russian ambassador on a certain date, and that he asked for a secure back door communication channel,
another was told that JK had asked for access to Russian com gear inside the Russian embassy,
and a third had been told that JK had discussed secret meetings in third world countries....

well it is kinda interesting that the combined story broke just a day or two before it was announced that three leakers had been identified and were going to be available for hire by Clinton.org soon
