Bombshell: Jussie Smollett criminally charged with filing false police report about hate attack

Disorderly conduct, a felony? 
Wow!  Illinois is really different because disorderly conduct is a violation in New York.  But, what is there to negotiate?  Why isn't Chicago P.D. picking his ass up like any other person?  Negotiate?  Gimmie a break! 

NY Post reports “Empire” star Jussie Smollett was criminally charged Wednesday with filing a false police report after claiming he was the victim of a racist, homophobic attack — and his lawyers are negotiating his surrender, authorities said Wednesday.

Smollett was charged with disorderly conduct, a felony, police said.

“He has now been criminally charged,” Chicago Police Department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told The Post. “The state attorneys have approved the” charge.
