No Ray Nagin 2.0: New Orleans mayor orders evacuation, curfew as Hurricane Nate approaches



The last thing the current mayor of New Orleans Mitch Landrieu wants to do it is following in the footsteps of Ray Nagin, the worst mayor in New Orleans history. 

NOLA reports as Tropical Storm Nate approaches, New Orleans leaders issued a citywide mandatory curfew beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 7) and continuing into Sunday morning until "the severe weather has passed."
New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu announced the curfew during a Friday news conference on Nate, which is forecast to strengthen into a Category 1 hurricane by the time it makes landfall Saturday night.
