AOL News reports the sports world was thrown into shock on Sunday night when news came out about Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz being shot and hospitalized in his native Dominican Republic.Players were initially shocked and distraught when reports started emerging, although that shifted more to relief as news emerged that Ortiz is in stable condition.
