4-year-old boy killed by family dogs in Texas

Something seriously wrong was going on at that household that may not be on the up and up.  Family pets normally don't do this.
USA Today reports a 4-year-old boy in Texas died after being mauled by a pack of family dogs at his home.

El Paso police officers found Jacob Brooks' battered body in the backyard of the home at about 8 p.m. Thursday, officials said. No other information on the boy was immediately available.

Officers had been dispatched to the Del Valle area neighborhood on an unknown problem.

Police said the boy's mother, who has not been identified, left him in an enclosed trampoline in the backyard. It was unclear how long the boy had been outside and whether he was alone with the dogs.

  1. What the hell is wrong with people? Ten dogs and a little kid? Any time you have two or more dogs the herd instinct kicks in and no young child should be left untended around any large dogs.

I have small dogs and when someone asks me if they'll bite I always say, "Well, she's never bit anyone before, but she may take an unhealthy dislike to you and rip your leg off." For heavens sake - as much as I love my doggies, I realize they're still a dog.

    1. I get the vibe that there was some illegal stuff going on in the home.
