Trump fires back at Puerto Rico mayor, accuses of 'poor leadership'...

I wrote yesterday that the mayor of San Juan was following the Ray Nagin playbook of incompetent leadership.
Carmen Yulin Cruz is a TERRIBLE leader!  She's crying in public, complaining about what's not happening instead of being a source of strength, inspiration  and leadership for the town she leads.  Ray Nagin was exactly the same way.  It's a horrific situation, no doubt.  As mayor of San Juan in a crisis situation her job is to set aside her own personal feeling of despair and being a rock for her people.  It's not about what's not happening it ought to be about getting through this, helping each other out, doing what can be done to make things better.  That's what Rudy Giuliani did after 911.  He set the mold for mayors on how to handle a crisis.  Carmen Yulin Cruz is the poster child of bad leadership!

Fox News reports President Trump on Saturday defended his administration’s hurricane recovery effort in Puerto Rico and cast blame on San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz who is criticizing the president's effort to get supplies, electricity and other relief to the U.S. Island.

“Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help,” Trump said in a series of tweets. "They want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort. 10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job.”

Trump pledged Friday to spare no effort to help Puerto Ricans recover from Hurricane Maria's ruinous aftermath even as Cruz accused the administration of "killing us with the inefficiency."

  1. What else would one expect from a third-world culture? But at least PR is not yet fourth-world like Haiti...
