KTRK-TV reports about 100 people were attending a party close to the campus of Prairie View A&M University, when police say someone opened fire.
Police say 5 to 25 shots were fired.
Three people were shot in the incident and one person has died of their injuries in the area of Dooley Street at Bledsoe Street, according to police.
