Police officer fatally shoots homeowner who killed intruder

This is a tough one.  A lot of factors need to be sorted out.

NY Post reports officers responding to a home invasion in Colorado reportedly gunned down the homeowner — moments after he reportedly fatally shot the intruder.

Police in Aurora received multiple calls around 1:30 a.m. Monday reporting a disturbance, news station KUSA reported. One of the callers reportedly told 911 that a man broke into her home.

Officials said they arrived at the “very chaotic and violent” scene and heard gunshots inside a home.

They reportedly encountered an armed man and an officer shot him.
