Brazilian Trump conservative candidate Jair Bolsonaro wins presidential election as voters turn away from Leftist socialism

It's always been the case throughout human history.  Finally, the people of Brazil have suffered enough and have decided to go in a different direction.

The Independent reports far-right former army captain Jair Bolsonaro has won Brazil's presidential election, official results show.

With 96 per cent of ballots counted, Mr Bolsonaro had 55.5 per cent of the votes against 44.5 per cent for leftist Fernando Haddad of the Workers' Party.

In an acceptance address in which he vowed to carry out his campaign promises to stamp out corruption after years of leftist rule, Mr Bolsonaro said: "We cannot continue flirting with communism.
