UFT boss: De Blasio's progressive leadership has made schools unsafe for teachers and students, classrooms in chaos

Here is a simple truism. 
When liberals who lie and call themselves progressives get into leadership positions, conditions get worse.  THEY DO NOT GET BETTER IN THE REAL WORLD.   It didn't get better in Detroit, San Francisco,  Chicago or Venezuela

NY Post reports in a rare split with City Hall, the head of the teachers union blasted the implementation of a policy that prioritizes counseling and warnings over suspensions, which critics say has left classrooms in anarchy.

“Our current discipline system is broken,” United Federation of Teachers President Michael Mulgrew told The Post.

“To make schools safe for everyone, we need the resources and training necessary to change school climate.”

Mulgrew, who usually heaps praise on Mayor de Blasio, said he agrees, in theory, with a “restorative justice” approach.
