Keisha Lance Bottoms is the only Democrat who runs her city with common sense. She's not the same as Jacob Frey of Minneapolis, or Jenny Durkan of Seattle. However, sahe's still a Democrat. But, I gotta feeling she may become unpopular with the lunatic woke-class of the Democrat base because she doesn't talk like a regular squish Democrat. She's got guts!

Bottoms, a Democrat who is considered a potential running mate for Joe Biden, made the remarks as she fought through tears -- and the nation endured a new bout of urban carnage. Sixty-three people were injured and 17 killed in Chicago, including two children, over the weekend; and in New York City, 44 were hurt and at least six killed.
“Enough is enough," Bottoms said. "Enough is enough. We have talked about this movement that's happening across America and this moment in time when we have the ears and the interests of people across this country and across this globe who are saying they want to see change. But the difference in this moment in time with the civil rights movement -- the civil rights movement, there was a defined, common enemy.
We're fighting the enemy within when we are shooting each other up on our streets."

You are a day late and dollar shower on your outrage, Ms Mayor. Black children have paid with their blood for years in your benighted town but apparently, that has been just peachy with the black community. It was only due to recent events involving a white cop that the ATL give a flying fart about black children.

She is partially correct. You can't blame the police but you can blame her. It was her support of the BLM/Antifa protests and call for the arrest of the cops involved in the Wendy's shooting that led to the death of the Turner child.
