NY Post reports At least six people were injured early Sunday in the alarming escalation of shootings across the Big Apple — including a 23-year-old who died in Queens, according to police.

The latest early-hours shooting spree capped a week with at least 38 shootings so far leaving more than 50 people injured — easily more than double the 16 shootings for the same time last year, sources told The Post.

The unidentified murder victim was shot in the chest at around 3:30 a.m. on 40th Avenue in Long Island City on the edge of the Queensbridge Houses, the NYPD said.
