Daily Mail writes Misleading Headline: Trump 'warmly greeted' Russian ambassador at center of Jeff Sessions storm during campaign VIP reception - despite repeatedly denying any contact with Russian officials

I like the Daily Mail because often times they report news the American media withholds.
But, in this case they're being very disingenuous in their reporting.  When President Trump says he's had no contact with Russians officials, he's answering a loaded question of did you and the Russians rig the U.S. elections?  It's a false premise from the start that the corrupt media has been rehashing over and over again for weeks.  Sorry, Daily Mail you did a bad job today!

Daily Mail reports President Donald Trump 'warmly greeted' Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak at a VIP reception before a foreign policy address during his presidential campaign on April 27, 2016.

The brief and incidental encounter was reported two weeks later by The Wall Street Journal, which noted Trump's call during that speech for 'an easing of tensions and improved relations with Russia.'

'A few minutes before he made those remarks, Mr. Trump met at a VIP reception with Russia’s ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Ivanovich Kislyak,' the Journal reported. 'Mr. Trump warmly greeted Mr. Kislyak and three other foreign ambassadors who came to the reception.'

A senior administration official told DailyMail.com on Tuesday that Kislyak and Trump were both guests at the reception, which was hosted by The National Interest, a foreign policy magazine. Trump stayed for five minutes.

The speech, too, was a National Interest event, not sponsored by the Trump campaign. Kislyak attended, and was photographed finding his seat.

However insignificant, the two men's meeting is likely to become the latest briquette on a roaring fire of controversy that hinges on technicalities, since a White House spokeswoman said just last week that Trump 'had no interaction' with Russian officials while he was running for president.
