Why are we in Afghanistan again?: 3 US soldiers shot in Afghanistan 'insider attack'

I think this question needs to be asked, again! 
These types of attacks should never happen inside a secure base.  If Afghans don't want U.S. forces there, then bring our troops home with a warning: If a terrorist attack is launched from Afghanistan upon the United States, the United States will obliterate that nation from the face of the Earth!  That seems pretty reasonable to me and it should be to them.  They can live in their country however they want as long as they do not attack the United States and Israel.    

Fox News reports three U.S. Army soldiers were shot and wounded Sunday when an Afghan Army soldier opened fire on them inside a base in southern Afghanistan's volatile Helmand Province, officials told Fox News.

The attack occurred around 1:30 p.m. local time at Camp Antonik in Washer District in Helmand.

"Coalition security forces on the base killed the soldier to end the attack," Capt. Bill Salvin, spokesman for U.S. Forces in Afghanistan, told Fox News. "The U.S. soldiers are receiving medical treatment at this time and we will release more information when available."
