White House on lockdown staff told to take shelter man shoots himself North Lawn President Trump and Melania away in Mar-a-Lago

Obviously another metal case shows up at the WH.

Daily Mail reports DC police say it was a man who pulled a gun on himself. There is not thought to be any outstanding threat.

NBC's White House correspondent Geoff Bennett tweeted first about the incident 

'We're sheltering in place at the White House briefing room. A report of "shots fired" near North Lawn, per a U.S. Secret Service agent. 

'Trying to learn more,' he said.
