Puerto Rico death toll controversy illustrates why mainstream media no longer has credibility with the American people

When there's a car crash, you look for the people in the car to see if they're still alive.
If they're not living that's how it's determined who died and how many.  The same process is used for train wrecks, air plane crashes, and even the events of 911 at the World Trade Center.

It's a body count!

But, somehow Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria gets treated differently.  The tried and true process of going to the island and counting bodies gets thrown out the window.

There needed to be an academic study by a college hundreds of miles away by professors who never visited the island.

Do you smell a rat?

I do and it's painfully plain what the agenda was for such a study to cast a negative light on the Trump administration.
