Did Dr. Fauci know about Covid-19 hitting California back in the Fall2019?

This is Dr. Fauci speaking at a forum in 2017

How did Dr. Fauci know there was going to be a surprise outbreak in 2017? I guess it wasn't a surprise to him.

At present New York, which s half the population of California, has 8,650 Covid-19 deaths.  California only has 634.  Social lockdown doesn't explain the disparity.
So, researchers at Stanford are theorizing that California was exposed to Covid-19 back in the Fall.

Here's my question:

Why didn't Dr. Fauci or the CDC know about what was happening in California? Isn't their jobs to know about infectious diseases coming into the country?

Again, how does Dr. Fauci know about a surprise outbreak in 2017?

Or maybe they did know all along and give Trump the bad advice to shut the country down?

Like I've explained before, deaths that are occurring in the United States are being counted as Covid-19 deaths regardless of underlying conditions. That skews the death count because 7,642 die in the U.S. every day from all causes under the Sum (heart disease, cancer, diabetes…)

This is why our death count is significantly more higher than any of the eight most populated countries in the world. 16 million jobs are lost and it's going to go higher. These questions need answers right now!

  2. As a part of being in a STEM profession, I write reports. These reports are filled with "should" and "probably" and other weasel words to prevent my being pinned down. I usually work with incomplete information and thus have to cover my backside.

Fauci said WILL BE FACED. Not "might be" or "it's possible that"... no, WILL BE FACED. This guy is far too much of a politician to not have learned the same lessons I learned long ago.

That he used such definitive language is, to me, concerning - and an indication to my sneaky brain that, yes, he DID know something was coming.

  3. He might of just gotten lucky. Virtually every flu and flu like
epidemic and pandemic originated in China, including the so-called
Spanish Flu. New strains and mutations appear on a seasonal basis.
The is not even the first strain of the Coronavirus. The conspiracy
kooks were going orgasmic over the fact that years old bottles of
Lysol listed the Coronavirus on the label. In my nearly 64 years
of existance, 99.9 percent of the time, conspiracies have proven
    to be false.

  4. Yes, he said the administration would see a "Surprise" epidemic.
That adds a degree of specificity that is beyond the scope of Lucky Guess. I too want to know How He Knew.

  5. @mick:

Anyone with three brain cells can look at world air travel and grasp that something "might" happen. File under "DUH!"

Again, that he used such specific language is odd for someone as experienced and savvy - having been in a POLITICAL position for years and years.
