Good people of Seattle rise up slam ‘Defund the police,’ thousands back cops as budget vote nears

This is what it's going to take to beat back the woke-mob.
Seattle residents need to take back their streets, vote out the Democrat ruining their city to become a nice place to live again.
Fox News reports hundreds of Seattle residents spoke up about proposals to “Defund the police” during a city council budget meeting on Wednesday, according to reports.
The council is considering a plan that could slash the budget of the city’s police department by 50 percent – resulting in layoffs for hundreds of officers – all as Seattle deals with the coronavirus outbreak and frequent riots and other unrest since the May 25 death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis.
While the “Defund the police” effort was initially popular in the city, opponents of the plan have been growing more vocal, Q13 FOX of Seattle reported.
“Defunding the police is a radical experiment that will hurt the vulnerable,” one member of the public, calling in to the phone-in meeting, told the council, according to Q13 FOX.

  1. This is great-- it's so good to see sane, law-abiding citizens who have respect for this country and its laws, FINALLY making a stand and speaking up.. but WHY does everyone keep saying "defunding/abolishing the police will really just hurt the most vulnerable" or "this will hurt people of color the most"....?? I get why you're telling them this (pointing out their own asinine hypocrisy.. also the fact is there's more crime in those areas to begin with, so therefore, more need for policing), but HELLO-- defunding/abolishing the police will obviously hurt EVERYONE!!!
Why is it that in today's dialogue, if you're not a "POC" you don't count..? I even hear white people saying this. As if they're nothing. You don't think a white person is "vulnerable" to crime?? And you don't think whites can't be in a "vulnerable" position, in general? Living in a city or a rough neighborhood makes you more vulnerable. (Even living in a wealthier neighborhood can make you a target, and therefore, vulnerable). Living in poverty- which includes working class poverty- makes you vulnerable. Being elderly or having health issues makes you vulnerable. Children are more vulnerable. Being a female unfortunately makes you a target of crime, and therefore vulnerable. Etc.
Basically, anyone not having a personal bodyguard, and private full-time home security, is vulnerable. Just because you're white, doesn't mean you live in a gated mansion or you're somehow immune to crime. In fact, whites are often targeted by "POC" criminals.
Besides, people don't just call the cops because of crime. There's other issues too.. like noise ordinance violations, or a traffic issue, such as an obstruction in the road (or a bunch of morons standing in the road). So a lot of these calls have nothing whatsoever to do with race, color, gender, or wealth status-- or however else people try to divide society to say "we're bigger victims than YOU are".. EVERYONE NEEDS THE COPS EQUALLY!!!
