I rather think Republicans would jump for joy if Ilham Omar announced she's moving back to Somalia and screw up that country!
Fox News reports Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., took to Twitter on Monday to criticize “pearl-clutching” Republicans upset about the treatment Amy Coney Barrett has received from Democrats over her Catholic faith after her nomination for Supreme Court.
Omar imagined the reaction from Republicans “if a Muslim woman was nominated to SCOTUS.”
“You would see Republicans lose their mind about her religious background… “Sharia law” would be trending right now. Miss me with the pearl-clutching and all this righteous talk about religious freedom.”

Let’s be clear about this: if a Muslim woman was nominated to SCOTUS you would see Republicans lose their mind about her religious background...

“Sharia law” would be trending right now.
Miss me with the pearl-clutching and all this righteous talk about religious freedom.
as long as she was a constitutional originalist, and, like ACB, stated and HAD DEMONSTRATED, that her religion would not affect her decisions, i would be fine with a muslim, woman or man, being on the supream court.
ReplyDeletebut there is not a muslim lawyer alive which follows american constitutional law over his sharia edicts.
Sharia Law would not permit a female to have any authority. She WOULD do whatever she was told to do as a politician, as she likely already does.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Muslim but from what I know about Islam, it is against both abortion and the homosexual agenda/LGBTQWhatever. So if this hypothetical muslim is against both, then I don't think any Republican or conservative would be against her. On the other hand, if she's a Democratic Party diversity hire (like Ilhan Omar), then yes the conservatives would not like that.
