Trump Wins, Again!: Senate poised to confirm Kavanaugh after bitter fight

Democrats miscalculated!
Their lies and misrepresentations about Judge Kavanaaugh has blown up in their faces.  GOP voters are stoked beyond usual midterm levels.  Dems may be in for a big surprise come Election Day.
The Hill reports the Senate is set to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court during a rare Saturday session, marking the end of a deeply partisan and rancorous fight that has rocked some senators' confidence in the upper chamber.
The vote is expected to hand President Trump and Senate Republicans their second Supreme Court justice in as many years and deliver a significant victory roughly a month before a midterm election where control of Congress hangs in the balance.
"The mob was not able to intimidate the Senate. We stood up to the mob. We did the right thing for a good man and filled a lifetime appointment on the Supreme Court," Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said while taking an early victory lap during an appearance Friday night on Fox News.
