Trump gives a 2 week DELAY on ICE raids of 2,040 illegal alien families in 10 cities, deportation will happen if talks fail

Trump is in a win-win situation.
Regardless of whether the raids happen or not, he gets to highlight how Democrats are protecting illegals who are criminals.  Law abiding illegals, except for the crime of entering the country illegally are not the targets of the raid.
Daily Mail reports President Donald Trump has said that he is delaying planned enforcement actions by Immigration and Customs Enforcement to remove thousands of illegal immigrants who have court orders for deportation.
'At the request of Democrats, I have delayed the Illegal Immigration Removal Process (Deportation) for two weeks to see if the Democrats and Republicans can get together and work out a solution to the Asylum and Loophole problems at the Southern Border. If not, Deportations start!' Trump said in a tweet on Saturday afternoon.

  1. More likely a lose-lose. I see this as another failed promise. The Democrats played him as nothing will happen for two weeks except for the airwaves will be filled with the Republicans are......... and nobody is ever deported. After saying the new policy is wait in Mexico a large number of Africans strolled into the country and are who knows where. Sad he would send Illegals to sanctuary cities and states and that didn't happen. Biggest Lose will be the voters not showing up to the polls for him or the rest of the Republicans.

  3. Since congress is NOT in session it appears President Trump got played. No action on closing loopholes or other problems with illegals. Sure they passed a bill to fund more consumables to illegals, but no additional beds or detention centers. All the president got for his troubles was more name calling and accusations of running "concentration camps".
President Trump may have 90 percent support from Republicans, but the 10% he doesn't have are in Congress twiddling their thumbs.
